The hike begins to see the waterfall
Feeling good after 2.2 miles
At the observation tower and you can see Ravens Falls which is the largest waterfall in SC
Feeling good lets go to the Suspension Bridge
We ignored the Warning sign and decided to take the short cut through the ravine. The Warning Sign stated "do NOT go this way unless you have water, food, hiking shoes, and map". We had 2 out of the 4 so off we went.
We are on top of the world
We made the 2000 foot descent and now we have to cross the river on a zip line
We made the 2000 foot ascent to the suspension bridge. The view is incredible but we still have 5 miles to hiking to get back and I am dead.
Oh my gosh I am NOT going to make it. Cell Phone not working. How is Addie going to get me out of here.
Thank goodness for the two walking sticks. We made it.. All 12 miles and we even completed the Dismal Trail!
